This week we asked our World Moms Blog writers,

“If a magic genie appeared and offered to grant you one wish in 2012, what would it be?”

Here’s what some of our World Moms are wishing for…

Maggie Ellison of South Carolina, USA writes:
“As long as we stay healthy, then I would like for my husband to be able to find a stable, secure job where he is happy and provides a decent living, so I can continue to stay home with my children, have the stability we have always wanted and not have to move again. Magic genie, come through for us, please.”

Dr. Lanham of Arizona, USA writes:
“I would ask him to grant me the ability to have the wisdom needed to increase so that I may be a blessing to others!”

The Alchemist of India writes:
“Just one wish???  That so cruel 🙁 LOL!

I would ask the genie for energy and zest to finish my novel and get it published. I wish magic genie comes soon. You are much awaited! :)”

FireCrystals of India writes:
“I wish for health and wellness for my family, and a better paying job.”

Alison Lee of Malaysia writes:
“I wish for a safe rest-of-pregnancy, an uneventful labor and a baby who will sleep through the night early. Hey, it’s a genie that’s granting this wish right? :)”

Mamma Simona of South Africa writes:
“If it really could only be ONE wish, I’d wish for the words of John Lennon’s song, Imagine, to come true! I can’t imagine anything better than “all the people living life in peace”!”

RoxIsBrilliant of Nevada, USA writes:
“I would wish for the courage to submit for publication. Or the motivation to keep growing my editing business. I can’t decide which one I’d like more!”

Tara B. of Washington State, USA writes:
“I would wish for the ability to teleport with my husband and kids so that we could easily visit family who are spread throughout the US and explore new places around the world while avoiding the logistical and financial challenges of flying with little ones.”

Jennifer Burden of New Jersey, USA writes:
“World Peace.  I think we can really make a lot of amazing things happen if we had it. And if the wish had to be just for me — to spend more time with my husband and kids all together!”

Mannahattamamma of Abu Dhabi writes:
“This will be one busy genie, but I guess that’s the nature of genie-biz! Could a genie stop my children from fighting? Nah, probably not, so instead I’ll wish for peace in the Middle East, which sometimes seems WAY more attainable than my kids spending an entire day without whacking each other. If this genie is a non-geo-politically minded entity, then I would join the ranks of those wishing for my writing projects to be finished & sold (does that count as one wish or two?) And on my own, genie-less, I’ll wish everyone a happy, healthy 2012!”

Maman Aya of New York, USA writes:
“Normally my genie wish is for my family’s health and happiness, and even though that’s still the top of my list, I need to add that my husband finds a job quickly (otherwise I may just lose my sanity, which will certainly infringe on the on the probability of the first wish).”

What would your wish be?

And do you have a question you would like to pose to our WMB writers?  If so, email us at wmbsidebareditor@gmail.com to see what they have to say.
